Kat May (Katia Mayen) is a singer-songwriter who melds the melancholy moods of Scandinavia with the urban textures of London and the literary song-writing of her native France.

 

Her atmospheric indie folky pop has been hailed by France's music magazine, Les InRocks, as cathartic, elegant, and infused with a Scandinavian melancholy.

Her debut album Beyond the North Wind has been picked as one of the 5 best albums of 2014 by Indie Music.

​

She has been selected to sing in the regional heat of "Les Inrocks Lab" in 2013" and in "Les Inouis du Printemps de Bourges" in Burgundy in 2015.

​

Kat is also composing and arranging music for film, theatre, advertisement and projects.
